The team at RADi (Regional Arts Development Initiative) has decided to postpone the 2020 Art Expo until 2021. It has been a lengthy decision process but one that was done with careful consideration and assessment within the Covid 19 context.

After eight straight years this hiatus actually presents us with an opportunity to refresh the show for 2021. We can strategise the style and purpose of Art Expo Nelson and garner feedback as to how we might improve what we are doing.

RADi has always had development of the arts as our core business and we are proud of the small contribution we have made to artists’ careers.

It’s also really important to acknowledge the show was made possible by our loyal sponsors. Pomeroys Coffee and Tea, Pitt & Moore, Haven Motors, Sonnetor, and in previous years Findex, NMIT, Westpac and Collingwood Manor.

Of course the unwavering support of the NRDA and Nelson City Council including Its On have been intrinsic to our success. This support, financial and otherwise, has enabled us to engage several businesses within the Nelson Tasman region. These include Peek Panel Supplies, Streat Kitchen, Seifried Wines, Sprig and Fern Brewery, CLM, Nelson Packaging Supplies, Hirequip, Crown Forklifts, The Framing Rooms, Copyart, Nelson City Framers, Speedy Signs Nelson, Pack & Send and many more associated with Art Expo Nelson.

Thank you all and see you again in 2021.
